Re: Victimised Royal Mail worker speaks out: “More than thirty years of service ended in twenty seconds!”
What's got my knickers in a twist stage3 is your aggressive bigoted nature of slandering the CWU and Royal Mail at every twist and turn. And now labelling me the troll.
Every post you paste from the SWSW site is negative and twisted towards a hatred to a union you blame, and an employer you clearly hate. If you are indeed employed by the RM.
Every pasted post includes the comment, sell out deal, that remember, the majority of members voted for.
And every post you make is an advert for the PWRFC, that you clearly support, who's culture has nothing to offer the business, and very few listeners, bar the hatred of the business is your selling point.
Your hate filled advert, constant canvassing, twisting of politics dictates to the audience that you are indeed the troll.
And still again, you and the PWFRC, have you anything for the audience that may be positive?
Probably not, but I guess we will hear a story next week of Dave the postman from Manchester who's union let him down from the bully boys of RM.
Knickers in a twist? Yep, sure I admit that. But that's what negative muck spreading negative trolls like you affect me. I get angry that some people might be swayed by your bigoted self centered hatred.
Until next week's cut an paste s**t story from the WSWS. I'll call you out on that one too. Can't wait.
Anyway did Des save a screen shot or paper bill from the phonecall that he made to his manager when he cut off? Another SWSW hole in the story. With that he would have won his tribunal, if the story is true.

I'm not opposing "RM is a bad employer" nor that it treats some staff appallingly.
I'm merely pointing out that these things are being used by a few people to big up their "organisation" in inverted comma's, for their own ends
There's a big difference, which I'm sure Stage3 is well aware of.

I will readily admit that I'm not a devout fan of the socialist web site but their articles often do have a grain of truth within them. Managers are good at covering their tracks when it comes to failing duties in an office (staff shortages, sick absence etc) but most posties aren't on their own duties. Dave Ward said it was a 'scandal' that RM have created these circumstances where they could sack workers and cover their own actions up. I have no doubt that this is often the case, but what is the Union actually doing to prevent it?
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Re: Victimised Royal Mail worker speaks out: “More than thirty years of service ended in twenty seconds!”
The WSWS doesn't need to produce articles for postal workers. It can secure enough clicks without appealing to roughly 70,000 CWU members working in the postal industry. The WSWS does not have to concentrate on the postal industry. There are plenty of other industries it could focus on.
The WSWS writes about postal workers because there is a rank and file movement that exists which gives the WSWS reason to write about postal workers. The latest article is not a work of fiction. Des exists and he was failed by the CWU. Des is not the first and he won't be the last.
You only have to read the posts in this forum to see the CWU's failure laid bare. The WSWS/PWRFC is not reporting anything that isn't widely known. You only have to speak to postal workers to know theCWU is a mess. It always has been and it's been failing postal workers since it's creation and the creation of the unions that went before it.
You can attack the WSWS/PWRFC all you want but it won't change the reality that the CWU is failing it's members day in, day out and that failure is widely known amongst the membership.

How could the WSWS or the PWRFC change things? By giving workers a voice or a means to express their ideas for organising and winning in the postal industry.
The very notion that the CWU is 'trying to change things' is laughable. CWU members see with their own eyes what is happening around them. The CWU even attempting to change what's happening does not appear on the horizon.
Both Ward and Walsh have said that everything is a local issue for members to sort out themselves. They said this because they've been told nationally that rank and file industrial and political industrial struggle has no place in the running of the industry. The CWU bureaucracy has no other role other than the suppression of rank and file members.

Re: Victimised Royal Mail worker speaks out: “More than thirty years of service ended in twenty seconds!”
Dogmatic nonsense.
As bad as the CWU is, it's still the only union recognised by RM, and only one RM will deal with.
Denigrating the CWU won't make the WSWSQP whatever any more of a viable alternative, and never will.
"Rank and file committees"...you're just embarrassing yourselves by constantly quoting this fiction.

The CWU isn't the only union that is recognised nor is it the only one that gets dealt with. It is the only union that's letting it's members down very badly.Tman wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 10:51Dogmatic nonsense.

There's numerous organisation that claim to represent workers in the postal industry. The CWU is one of many.Sean06 wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 16:08What other union does rm recognise..afaik all agreements are made with cwu.rather have cwu represent me than wsws or pwrfc.many members in cwu an many in pwrfc ( if they exist)?tramssirhc wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 14:44The CWU isn't the only union that is recognised nor is it the only one that gets dealt with.
