Item stuck in MC or DO?

Hi All,

I posted a tracked 24 large letter on 23rd September, it was scanned in Gatwick MC on the 24th but no update since, other than "will now be sent to your local DO". It's heading to Brighton. Does that mean that it's still in Gatwick MC or would it be in Brighton but has not been scanned?

It's most likely at the DO but hasn't been scanned as having arrived at the DO

Not scanned into a DO until it is going out for delivery. Another cost cutting measure.
