Capita pension

Post by Belgium »

Just started receiving my pension from capita and have noticed the monthly amount is different this month than last, I thought it would be just a case of the total annual pension divided by 12 and you would get the same amount each month.
Anybody out there know if this is the case or do I have to phone capita and ask why I have been underpaid by £60
Many thanks in advance for any help

Only a guess but if it is your first payment and your birthday is for example the 10th of the month then you will not get the pension before that date

No it’s my 2nd full month payment, I did receive a small amount from my birthday to the end of the month, but the next 2 full month payments differ by £60 ( and neither payment qualifies for tax so it’s not that)

if you log into the RMSPS, https://members.royalmailsps.co.uk

You can see your pension pay slips, they appear before the end of the month.

If you have retired I would call HMRC best early in the morning, it may take a while to get through, but if they have not reviewed you, then they will
assume you have a wage and a pension and you will be paying too much tax, its very easy for them to help you.

this correction is something they can do on a call, not the website.
