Yes, I do, don’t I? It’s handy for putting people like you straight, don’t you think? FYI - we have long had a paperless house where 99% of paper is scanned to PDF and then shredded. It means I can instantly trawl my Dropbox and put you straight by producing any evidence needed!
PS: don’t you agree that your ramblings above make you look more than a tad silly? Do you admit you were wrong?

I've lost track of where this thread is going so don't know who's wrong.
But then actually, it doesn't really matter does it? I'm full time on the legacy contract not the inferior one

Re: 35 hrs
When RM were set on dropping full time to 35 hours they reached 37 (possibly around 2019 I think) and decided that new full time contracts would be 35 hours, so that all staff would eventually be on 35 hours. Those on a 35 hour contract had to do 2 hours overtime (at SSPR) each week, and were short-changed on all pro-rata payments (this was ignored by the CWU).
I left in August 2022 and around the October most job adverts disappeared from the RM website (I kept an eye on it just to see if they ever recruited to replace me and the other 8 vacancies in the office I left).
In November 2022 the new adverts were the ones with Sunday working and no breaks, they also had full time contracts at 40 hours.
Like most things in RM everything is fudged up. There are full time duties, full time hours and three different full time contracts, There isn't really a right or wrong answer!

Bit of a battle to see who's the silliest, think your ahead on points Smooth but judging is subjective and the other scorecards might read different.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 16:23Yes, I do, don’t I? Is it not a sad indictment of how far down the rung RM has gone that we the employees are debating what is/isn't full time, and 40 hr contracts with no paid breaks or perks, no matter how you try to put lipstick on it, is in anyway comparable to the old contracts.
In fact it's a disgrace it's legal at all, perhaps we need to give the newbies a break and push harder for equality.

Unlike Enskied, however, I have substantiated my claims with hard documentary evidence rather than shooting from the hip with absolute nonsense only then to be proved wrong.scotchy1962 wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 19:25Bit of a battle to see who's the silliest, think your ahead on points Smooth but judging is subjective and the other scorecards might read different.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 16:23Yes, I do, don’t I? Interesting but not too surprising that Enskied hasn’t replied. Perhaps they’re getting tanked up before replying?! We have more than a few of that type at our gaff whose vans stink like a brewery in the morning!

Talking about substantiating claims, what proof do you have that he is tanked up on anything.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 19:40Unlike Enskied, however, I have substantiated my claims with hard documentary evidence rather than shooting from the hip with absolute nonsense only then to be proved wrong. Re: 35 hrs
I am forming a judgement based on their late-night postings last night, though I would readily concede that I have no evidential foundation for believing they are getting tanked up right now. How do you know Enskied is a him? Are you real-life chums?scotchy1962 wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 19:44Talking about substantiating claims, what proof do you have that he is tanked up on anything.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 19:40Unlike Enskied, however, I have substantiated my claims with hard documentary evidence rather than shooting from the hip with absolute nonsense only then to be proved wrong. Thought so.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 16:20Not true. We have “normal” new-contract posties on 40-hr contracts at our place, and elsewhere in the region, too.

Re: 35 hrs
Interesting reading the bit about when they initially dropped from 37 to 35, 2 hours were expected to be done on overtime!!! It’s this hilarious but not at all funny thing that RM will have 24hr, 25hr etc., but they really need everyone to be doing the hours, the full time hours and the pressure is on to work over and not cut off.fb1969 wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 17:56When RM were set on dropping full time to 35 hours they reached 37 (possibly around 2019 I think) and decided that new full time contracts would be 35 hours, so that all staff would eventually be on 35 hours. There’s now a scramble to put the hours up of anyone who wants it.
So the experiment of family friendly contracts to encourage women to apply is over.

Re: 35 hrs
It will include DPR work on a Sunday etc. So, not a straight forward postie contract.
