There's a guy in our office sits at home for anything between an hour and an hour and a half everyday and fails mail everyday. Why isn't that picked up on? The managers been told time after time about it , but does nothing about it.
They already have the data don’t they, so why they don’t use it to make certain people stop taking the mick I don’t know? Instead they seem to be targeting the speediest workers. RM has to be the only company on the planet to punish efficiency.
The fastest person in our office has been at RM for a couple of decades and is fast at everything- sorting, framing, bundling. The lot. Her walk is not easy. It’s a long convoluted slog, which she finishes quickly because she’s just fast.
No one else can do it as fast as her. She’d be penalised everyday if they started enforcing SISO.
’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’

Good question, it must show on his PDA records plus if he has a van the Trimble records, I'm pretty sure this would be a sackable offence, surely if you worked anywhere else and returned 40 minutes or whatever late from lunch break every day you'd be history pretty sharpish.
He might have a little van with no Trimble but surely the GPS data from the PDA will show where he is?

He has trimble and a pda but nothings ever said to him. But it's the bosses to blame.

Yes it is because there will be other people in the same office being told off for signing out five minutes early.

Local agreement. Virtually everybody just takes the 20 off their finish time at our place then 20 before going out. Sitting in a van for 40 minutes out there would drive me mad personally, but each to their own.
we have six hour deliveries, and i drive past my house which is the only stop to use the toilet. has suffered badly from ibs. area rep confirmed i am indeed alllwed to take 40 mins in one go and toilet breaks are not part of that. i’m not taking the piss and booking excess OzT, i just get what i can only describe. as a bubbling gut/ constipation and diarrhoea at times when i’m feeling stressed and anxious. i have a doctors note but my manager and union rep say this isn’t enough the most i get from my doctors is a phone call.
the doctor has written a note already explaining i made need excess time but although this is from the it isn’t enough.

What do you mean ‘they say a doctor’s note isn’t enough’? Do they not understand your condition and that it’s chronic and stressing about being able to go to the bathroom when you need to, only makes it worse?
A doctor’s note is good enough for water companies to cap your water bill because of your condition so the manager and the rep need to get a grip.

I thought they couldn't use PDA Actuals against you, only to utilise time?

Without looking up the agreement I can't tell you word for word but I seem to remember there being a clause that said they could in cases of suspected fraud.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Yeah I can get that, like claiming non-existent overtime?
