People are rude, they are at home and entitled .

I knocked on, I had no packets or signed for.
However the person had left they're house and car keys dangling from the lock. I knocked on, no answer, knocked again... He came down fuming, I'm on a call.... I waggled his keys before his eyes and walked away.

He did at least catch up to me to say thank you about half an hour later. I won't forget his initial response though.

The art of body language seems to have disappeared. I totally get it, you’re on a call (maybe a very important one), but how hard is it to give a little smile, give a thumbs up, maybe even mouth a ‘thank you’ before snatching your parcel. When I was out delivering, some people wouldn’t even give you eye contact.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

I have had loads of the keys in the door situation, most are really grateful but I have had a couple of occasions when they say 'I know' in a abrupt voice, I doubt that they did know but some people like to be in charge, don't they?

Why don't u just post the keys in their letterbox instead of knocking and disturbing them ?

What if you have then posted their keys through a locked door and they’ve nipped to the shop and are now locked out?

The best 'keys in door' I had was early one Saturday morning I came across keys in the front door. Was just about to knock/ring the bell when I noticed a fella curled up asleep in the corner of the porch! It wasn't very warm and it was an open porch so I woke him up in case there was anything wrong. Turned out he'd been on the p**s the night before and his Mrs had deadbolted the door on him for being late :d'oh!

Pretty sure someone had left their keys in the void behind the letterbox once. I heard them hit the floor with the mail when I delivered it. Hopefully they weren’t locked out

I've had this, I suspect it was a small child literally at play. I heard a cry of relief "there they are!" As they clinked to the floor

For me it depends. If people are unnecessarily rude or obnoxious when they answer the door then they will receive the same courtesy back.
Same, I've had people say "I'm working",
I've replied so am I.

On numerous occasions I've been really tempted to say the best way to avoid people knocking on your door with parcels is to stop ordering stuff but for obvious reasons I've never had the pleasure of doing so.
I did that once. I knocked on a woman's flat door:

Woman from inside: "I'm in the shower"

Me: (thinking 'What does she want me to do about that?'...I wait a bit and knock again)

Woman from inside: "I'M IN THE SHOWER!"

Me: (starts writing out a P739)

Woman: (opens door dressed in towel and glares at me)

Me: Uh, did you order this packet?

Woman: Yes.

Me: Well, this is what happens when you order stuff on the Internet. I show up. Doesn't matter if you're in the shower.

Woman: (no comeback)

Me: Do you want your packet?

Woman: Yes...

Me: OK then. (hands woman packet) Have a nice day.

Woman as I'm walking away: Oh, piss off. (abruptly closes door)

Had that other classic today that initially pissed me off

Pushed the bell and also knocked, disgruntled woman answers, says "we have a doorbell you know"

I reply yes I tried that whilst pressing it again and it didn't work :left:

She says OH, doesn't say sorry I didn't know it wasn't working or anything, I shuffle off muttering multiple profanities under my breath

Pompous Twats.
