Item stuck at HWDC since 4 Sep

Hi all,

I expected a post from China in the first part of this month. It left China last month and seems stuck in HWDC for more than 10 days without any update.

The tracking timelines are:
27 Aug 20:02 at UK customs Langley HWDC
27 Aug 20:02 Received Langley HWDC
4 Sep 15:34 Received Langley HWDC

The tracking message has been "This item has been received at LANGLEY HWDC, United Kingdom. More information will be available as it travels through our UK network" since 4th Sep.

When can this post be sent through the Royal Mail network and to be delivered? Or is it just lost at HWDC?

Any insight or help would be gratefully received, Thanks.

It is in customs. It isn’t that unusual for things to spend a month in customs and still get delivered, either because there is some issue with the contents or paperwork (whether actual or suspected), or because the parcel was chosen at random for extra checks. What is inside the parcel?

I was sent an item from Uk to Nigeria. It got there on the 1st of August and left on the 3rd but I’m yet to still receive the package. Last I checked it’s status is in transit and the current destination of item is Gblala. What can I do to get the package. Thank you

Without more details its difficult to say but https://www.royalmail.com/sending/inter ... es/nigeria International economy take 6 - 8 weeks.
Also according to that page items are not tracked when they reach Nigeria so I would check with Nigeria Post.

If I recall correctly, Nigeria is one of the countries where all mail has to be collected from the Post Office?

Is it coming into the UK or leaving the UK? If it's leaving the UK what country is it going to and what's the contents (sometimes the contents can cause issues with customs at the other end)?
