Delivery 2.0 + seasonal hours

So this week we have finally "officially" been told about the incoming "delivery 2.0" nonsense (and we all have to be grateful that our glorious DOM has managed to postpone it's arrival until after Christmas,) but when asked the managers seem to think that the seasonal hours will remain in place when it arrives

So duties will expand and contract based on "seasonal volume," while time in which to do the duties will also expand and contract based on the same metric... Do we really need both?! If your duty is getting longer in summer and shorter in winter, why keep the seasonal hours?! (Obvious answer- RM know delivery 2.0 won't work so want to keep a failsafe)

I was in another part of the country over the weekend and saw colleagues out on delivery at 0930. Either their times barely changed from an already good start or they haven't had the change yet. We're not so lucky up in the boreal territories.

Plenty of offices have hardly changed, the devil was always in the detail. Offices that used to have a 6/6:30am start a few months ago were like that for a reason - probably in London and probably right next to or actually within a mail centre/hub. Offices with historically early start times would have come off better in the shake up vs ones that were already starting at 7:30pm

I don't think the smiling happy posties you see in the Courier saying these initiatives are a roaring success don't tend to come on here!
