Handing in my notice

Post by grumpazoid »

Just a quick query.

I'm currently signed off by the doctor. Last week I emailed my resignation to the DOM, giving four weeks' notice, and I've heard nothing from him in response. I suspect that he may be on annual leave, but he hasn't set up one of those automatic email replies, so I've no idea who is deputising in his absence.

Is there some central HR type address that deals with resignations these days? When I previously worked for RM I just emailed my resignation to the DOM and that was that.

Cheers.

Can't help you on the HR front, and good luck in the future.
To be frank, why bother with HR? You've got a dated email that you sent the DOM with your resignation date on it. If he/she is too useless to make any arrangements for holiday cover it's not your problem! :thumbup

You app will be turned off pretty much on your last day so get screenshots of vacation records.
Also email your DOM to request confirmation of your annual leave balance.
Bear in mind that if you had some annual leave during the time you were signed off sick, the leave will need to be credited back to you.
I would also suggest that you CC the email to your union rep

Also get copies of any required P60s and payslips as you'll probably lose access to them as well

Thats excellent advice, never would have thought of that. I hate the app, give me paper wage slips any day over this app
