clocks going back

Post by fallenworld202233 »

Well anyone looking forward to working in the dark delivering mail this year with the new delivery times being pushed forward? some christmas this is going be, don't fancy delivering to some customers with their wild dogs in the pitch dark, probably think ur a burglar, shocking how the union didn't oppose this, so much for health and safety

We are the union and did oppose it, but people decided to take the pretty penny and back pay, so I'm afraid we just have to suck it up

That's what I meant, people decided they valued the back pay more than fighting the s**t we find ourselves stuck with now,. Even though they knew what lay ahead

I think it's only a matter of time before dispatch times to DOs get made an hour later on the top of what they already have been. The workload on the final lorry is way heavier than what RM said. Was supposed to be about a dozen yorks but in reality it's often a full up double stacker (about 90 yorks) and that's in the low season. Nearer Xmas it wouldn't surprise me if we ended up getting one and a half to two full up double stackers

He literally said the exact same thing as you, just by using different words whilst making himself look like a twat at the same time. :cuppa

I can see the guys on duties with 70 door entry systems one after the other tearing the last of their hair out. Everyone's offered solutions, even managers, but the company does not see later times as a problem to be solved. So you just stew in your own anger every day.
The machine stops.

We have this problem in our town centre with door entry systems. Nightmare to get into, sometimes impossible, if you miss the Trades button cut-off. When I was in London they all had Fire Brigade drop keys - but not here. I regularly spend 10 minutes or more getting into particular blocks on our patch.

The rot is at the top. Failure bothers us because we’re the customer facing end of the business, but those at the top are oblivious.
