Don't use the road - use the pavement - I always found it far quicker - no lights, cross the road at zebras, ring the bell furiously, go the wrong way up one way streets - far superior to using the road - mind you it could be a bit of a crush with these tricycle ones.

I was stopped once, for nicking my own push bike. Was on my way to work, doing nights a few xmases ago. Was wearing full uniform, and they ask me where i was going. I replied i was on my way to work, he replied ' at this time.' I said aye, am on nights. He then asks me if this was my bike, so being truthful i told him no it was work bike, he asked where i worked, i told him royal mail, and ask couldn't he tell, he then ask me my name which i replied, A crook, all in all it took 10mins to explain to someone that i was working nghts and that even tho the bike belong o royal mail, i had right to ride as i was riding to work.
Couldn't beleive it
it makes the question, 'is it raining?' sounds intelligent

But some of the threads he has resurrected have been mildly interesting…

I remember when I worked in RM I was in uniform crossing a main road. I looked to right for oncoming traffic, which was clear, and was crossing to traffic island when I heard a squealing of brakes and looked to my left where a cyclist coming up fast on the wrong side had braked hard to avoid hitting me.
As it happened there was a rather large young policeman on the traffic island who stopped the cyclist and gave him a lecture on road safety and that the laws of the road applied to cyclists too.

I would suggest that most of us don't wish to travel back to 2007 so frequently! It's really annoying for dead threads to be revived so consistently by one member.

Should twoloops consider that message (to "refrain") a first warning/ strike :o?
