We are no longer going to using delivery 2.0 for our revision, but they are still going to double slot every frame "to make more space" even though we are losing the big parcels. 5 hour delivery spans, 6 loops per walk, to be done by trolleys.
Does that really mean that those loops are double what they had previously been? So 40mins ish instead of 20mins?
The loops are already 40 mins so god knows how long they'll be afterwards

Last time we had our revision they made all the loops bigger so that the duty only had 6 loops. The duties all had double slots and extra "wings" bolted on their frames.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
It'll be interesting to see if the number of walks in the sequencing batches changes much over the next few weeks. A good while back now one batch suddenly had half the number of walks, with no increase in walks on other batches for the same DO

There is no plan (anymore) to roll it out in every office in the near future. Doesn’t mean they won’t power ahead next year though
As it stands there are offices that are going to be converted to 2.0 but with adaptations- because there are blindingly obvious flaws with the idea- so the original idea was no wings. Wings are back! Also, with a continuous frame, where is the room for packets? Not enough above and nowhere for a York.
Also, the two main aims of 2.0 were, to make space for oodles of parcels and to save money. Why they thought it would save money I don’t know but anyway, it isn’t saving money. Who knew?!!
So it is fallling apart as it goes along. It will just take a brave higher up to admit it is a failure to end it.

I think the savings were from the next stage where the computer would spit out a list of what you could do each day i.e. glorified lapsing. Quiet day...have another loop

If you have a Tracked letter and a non Tracked packet which takes priority.
