How does holiday pay work ?

Been reading on holiday pay and I've been doing some overtime recently after a long gap, do you get cash credited to your pay while on holiday to make up for the fact you're not doing overtime while on holiday ?

You do, but it’s based on the last six months worth of overtime. & you have to have done at least eight hours a month to qualify. I’ve been doing at least twenty hours a week for nearly a year now & I still don’t come out with a similar amount when I have a holiday as I do for a regular working week. It’s a terrible system & a s**t deal by the union. As usual.

You do but only if you do 8 hours or more of overtime per month for 6 months leading up to the annual leave. It’s a bit of a scam.

Certainly is, I did more than that regularly but all it takes is two weeks leave followed by a couple of weeks of hardly any ot and you end up getting nothing.
