Standard operating Procedures

Post by crazyshrew »

Does anyone have a link to Current SOPs for delivery function, that average Joe blogs can access from a device not linked to the RM network?
Or able and willing to upload PDFs/docs

Best I can currently find is from 2009 (on this site) and A LOT has definitely changed since then.

Delivery 2.0 is imminent locally and we are trying to arm ourselves with well researched questions, and challenges based on the facts of RMs own policies.

Sure we can't change anything, but honestly just want to be able to push management well out of their comfort zone with walls made of shrugs, silence and completely ignorant replies of "dunno" or "just doing as we're told"

Probably a waste of time. Just going by various threads over time, no two DOs seem to do everything the same, each DO does things differently.

I agree. It's pointless, progress* cannot be stopped. And when I say progress I mean the progression to being an absolutely turd delivery company.

What you are looking for is the National Conduct Agreement 2015 - but still valid.

I downloaded it but can’t remember from where so maybe do a Google search for the doc.

Delivery 2.0 is not saving them money, which was its purpose, but of course that means they will continue rolling it out 🙄

Thanks, but that's not what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for the SOPs, the literal step by step instructions on how to complete various tasks.
Often linked on WP but requires access to the RM intranet (which I once had access too but has been revoked for reasons I can only guess at)

With this mega frame, huge amounts of double prep, picking up of adjacent loops and many other things, the importance of the whole staff performing tasks in a standard way is heightened.

We're well beyond caring about failing mail and the USO now, just looking to protect ourselves and our mental health.

Not even implemented yet, only in the planning stages now, and have already had people walk out with the stress being created by the poor management of the whole thing

Oh okay, I don’t have access to the intranet either. I only have the plans of 2.0 in various offices and DOs that would become satellite offices to a larger office etc.
