Two people have been arrested after the package was found in Bodmin

Two people have been arrested after police officers found a package of drugs at a Cornwall post office. Officers seized the package at the post office in Bodmin, before visiting the address marked on the parcel.

Bodmin Police said Neighbourhood officers arrested a woman at the address on suspicion of attempted possession of a controlled substance. On searching the property more fully, a large amount of Class A drugs were found, police said in a post on social media.

A second person, a man, was then also arrested at the same address.

Bodmin Police wrote: "More proactive work! A package was seized at the Post office containing Drugs. Bodmin Neighbourhood Police then attended this address and arrested the female on suspicion of “attempt possession of controlled substance.

"A further search of the property discovered a significant quantity of Class A drugs. A further male was arrested at the address. We did warn individuals that if they continued to try and purchase drugs on the internet that they would be arrested!"
