Annual leave whilst off sick

I have come down ill today, I have a/lbooked for Monday and Tuesday is my day off, If I was to go back Wednesday, technically my last day of sickness is Saturday, but I know they will try saying it's Tuesday. Surely they can't count my a/l on the Monday, or day off on Tuesday.

To be 100% covered, you can also call Monday morning to tell them you are no longer sick and fit for work, but are on annual leave

Ha ha, I'm sure they will like that, pretty sure if I done that they will add the Sunday on, they used to.

Unfortunately for me, I had it the other way round.

A few week ago I was on annual leave but I caught Covid, so I had a week off work feeling terrible.

You cannot be off sick and on annual leave at the same time. Your leave should have been cancelled and re credit

Thanks Boracay, if I had asked for my annual leave to be credited back, I would have been off as sick.

And now that the sick leave conditions have changed, if I was sick again my pay would be affected from the 2nd absence onwards, so it's best to leave it alone.

It's just one of those unfortunate things.
