How’s that work out? If I’m on a 37hr contract and do 3hrs ot I’m not clearing £500 take home.

I would expect that to come to about £573 before deductions on the new contract. So probably around £500 after although I'm not sure how much.

I thought 40 hour contract would now only be on the newer terms which have a lower hourly rate than those of us employed before 2022

Going by previous posts iirc smoothbackground has said she's on the higher "London" area rate so £14.87 per hour which makes those figures more realistic
£14.87 x 40 = £594.80 pre deductions, don't forget above 40 hours that would increase to nearly £18.60.

No problem. Unfortunately my take-home pay is skewed by all the OT I do, but here is an example breakdown for you to ponder over.

So this is an example from May 2024, where I did minimal OT as I was off for the first week and was taking it easy for a bit on coming back:

Basic pay: 173:56 hours — £2,586.67
Overtime May 2024: 8:45 hours — £162.66
HP NPens OT: 32.00 hours — £113.28
LESS PSE Adj RMDCP MIN: -£129.33
Gross pay: £2,733.28
LESS deductions for tax, NI, Personal Assurance and Dental of £562.34
Net pay: £2,170.94

(£2,170.94 x12 ÷52= £500.99 net per week)

Need to bear in mind that there are are “optional” deductions from net pay of £90.52 for personal assurance and dental cover, as well as pension contribution deducted gross from salary, all of which reduce the take-home figure. The take-home figure would be closer to £550 per week without pension and other options.

This is a very decent job by market standards. This is the “smallest” of all my RM payslips!

To be fair, it was pretty obvious from the beginning for me. He basically played his hand far too early, by continuing the same obsessive stalking of my account as soon as he rejoined. Anyone with a semblance of common sense, would have spent a few weeks not drawing attention to himself, but I guess his obsession was too strong and he honed in on replying to every post I make here almost immediately. I am flattered in a way.
