Are there any other offices strict like ours in Birmingham ?
The managers want us back in the office by 3pm now. First it was 4:30pm, then 4pm then 3:30pm. Now 3pm lol. A joke. They won’t pay anyone if they go over 3pm.

Apparently they got email from the big bosses. They want cut some of the overtime.

Impossible most of the days on shared walks.
First they made the walks big 3 years ago.
Second of all if your on packet duty on 2 walks. You get hammered.

Now where forced to leave some or a line of our walk.

It does look like someone at the top is pulling the strings on overtime. The office can't run properly without O/T but we were told last week that you can't extend not even 5 minutes. Folk that usually work there day off are not allowed.

I am sure the union and the business mentioned months ago that the quality of service will improve going forward by recruiting new staff and building better relations. None of that has came to light, instead the business is going backwards on everything that it's doing.

They try this once or twice every year.
We shrug our shoulders, say ok, and do exactly as directed.
The failures snowball immensely so quickly that OT is back on the table in less than a week.

So everyone simply needs to use it as an opportunity to demonstrate why OT is necessary. Do as you are told, let it pile up, OT back in no time

They stopped the day off workers in your office ?
I am shocked they still allow day off workers in our office.

They will improve when they recruit new staff lol ? There’s 1 leaving every few weeks lol

I know our "manager" requested more staff but was given a spreadsheet of walks which could take on extra work. All well and good until you factor in some of those walks are failing already

Not too much of a leap when you consider just how different offices are run. Same goes for implementation of 'change'. Delivery 2.0 is in and has been for a while in quite a few offices, it will be years, if at all when it appears nationwide.

Absorbtion has made a comeback even though we got a shorter day to avoid it. Rotate the failure.
