Expecting to start later is ridiculous.
Come on, we're not a public service anymore
The machine stops.

I can't lay claim to it.

It isn’t a public service. It is a private company operating primarily to make a profit.
Everyone is welcome to come up to Scotland to enjoy our later starts if you want a lie in!
The machine stops.

So. Saint Gareth has somehow steered the boys to the final. Our gaffer has said no dispensation on Monday morning- come from regional boss.
Great opportunity for the company to get some brownie points from maligned staff and good will all round (with a gentleman's agreement to start later and guarantee to get the work done) - with everyone winning.
Instead we have a situation where if we go to ET or god forbid even win with celebratins into the night your choice is :
throw a sickie
try and get in on time
go in late anyway and ?get disciplined.
Great management
Hope half the workforce are off sick, it'll serve them right
Grow up mate

If you look at it the other way around, would Gareth Southgate, Harry Kane and the england team come and watch us on the streets posting letters?
I think not, support yourself and family sod the football.

Ironic how people moan about later start a finish times, and then beg for it when the football is on. If you were that bothered about it, you would have booked the day off. Just grow up and put up with less sleep if you really want to watch it. C’mon Spain.

Even if you go to bed at 11pm you should get 6-7 hours of sleep. Expecting to start later is ridiculous.
Can I borrow your time machine mate. I have to get up before 5 to get in on time!

What time do you start? I didn’t think anyone was still starting before 6.30 now? If you have a big commute, then fair enough I guess.

Now that was some world class foresight. If only RM leadership had the same.
