Royal Mail deliveries across Nuneaton are now being made from its brand-new hub. Staff are no longer working out of the old sorting office in Justice Walk.

Their last day at the depot, where generations have queued for parcels in the past, was on Saturday (July 6) with operations starting from the new unit, in Bermuda Village, on Sunday (July 7).

Deliveries then started on Monday (July 8) from the new hub, which has been built on Hazell Way, off Bermuda Road, on land that was formerly part of the famous Stanley Brick Works. Customers should not notice any difference said a Royal Mail spokesperson.

In a statement, the spokesperson said: "Our new purpose-built Delivery Office will help us to meet changing customer and business needs.

"There will be no impact on our customers or any disruption to our delivery service following the move.”

As well as the delivery office, there is a 60-space car park for staff and customers, including two electric vehicle charging bays. The old delivery office is destined to be flattened.

It is being demolished as part of the £20m Justice Walk development, which will boast a new library, offices and up to 65 homes in the Vicarage Street area.
