What is the basic pay of a full time postman on delivery these days ? transferred off deliveries in 1989 so no idea .

Full time take home is £429.10 (not London)
That includes delivery supplement and CWU deduction.

It's £505.68 pre deductions, £26.295 pa.

So new entrants if lucky enough to get full time are on 10%less,and 40 hour contracts ?

Looks like it. £12.57ph is exactly to the penny, £12.57ph the last time I checked.

Don't forget new entrants have to work Saturday and Sunday every week.

No point complaining they know what they are signing up too.

Eh, that's not what I'm hearing all too frequently. Management are desperate to keep new starts, though, so they've been extremely accomodating and not demanded the pound of flesh. Hell of a turnaround compared to what so many departed colleagues were told: if you don't like it, leave.

I wonder if they've been told to try and look after new starters, yeah I know a completely new concept for Royal Mail but perhaps it's sunk in that if you treat folk like s**t they leave.
