We had "election champions" :left: they were taken off their duty to organise all this crap. But now they have to do their duty and this crap as well in the same time.
So it's all gone tits u
p.
Who makes this crap up? I have visions of a load of Managers sat around a desk trying to come up with some Wonderful New Idea to try and impresss the Area Manager so he gets Brownie Points! :speak to the hand

Our latest Brainwave is a BIG Push to make sure everyone leaves a clean frame ....and I don't mean mail! There's to be NO personal items, coffee cups, Waterproofs, Fleeces, Drink Bottles etc

This BS is obviously going to help the Businesss haul itself out of a Finacial Hole, and help posties to get their oversized duties delivered in contracted hours! :thumbdown

It's getting to the point were I can't even talk to the manager incase he starts spouting the latest crap he's been told to carry out on their conference call! :cuppa
Like all Wage Slaves, he had two crosses to bear: The people he worked for and the people he worked with! (Stephen Vizinczey.)

Surprised you've not had this before, once or twice a year we have the "no personal items to be left on frames" chat along with the no food or drink on the IPS or frames.

Usually lasts a day or two then back to the norm

These periodic instances of arbitrary intolerance toward some aspect of daily working life have been going on for years. I could cite Roy Mayall's book when he recounts how suddenly they weren't allowed to put their bags under the frames. As there was nowhere else to put them they all ended up in the middle of the aisle and the policy was quietly dropped.

They represent nothing more than a flexing of management's muscles. All the stupid changes, the lack of consultation, the long-running denigration of our role; it's all about demonstrating who has power.
The machine stops.

Like every other stupid, ill thought through idea in this organisation. Too many managers that’s the problem. First job for Mr K , sack 2/3 of the useless bastards. Or send them out as postmen. Or women , or whatever.
