Requesting unpaid leave...

Post by Clifford883 »

Does anyone know the process to follow?

How much notice must be given?

The process in PF might be different from the process in RM

You can request annual leave via the people app but for special leave it's usually with your manager. The HR number on myroyalmail is 0345 606 0603.
Not sure if it's relevant now, but it might answer one of your questions.

If not, I would go through the people app. Royal Mail are trying to do everything online via the app rather than have employees contact them on the phone.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

For some DOs and MCs they'll only accept leave requests submitted using a paper form

But if you put in a request via the people app, just like RM want, and a manager doesn’t respond to it within a certain number of days I believe their superior is then informed.

If I worked in one of those offices I know how I’d be requesting leave, and it wouldn’t involve a pen and paper.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.
