Postal poll cards:Out of all the years of f ups and embarrassing mistakes..

Don’t think I have ever been so embarrassed delivering postal poll cards yesterday to elderly that have already posted their vote. Some it’s fine they laugh it off but some are confused, probably early Alzheimer’s or just think the world has gone mad.
Telling them they will get their postal vote before the 21st of June. Had dozens.

Is it nationwide?

Not polling cards but plenty of election leaflets still. I’ve just prepped a call that has 11 (yes, 11) separate party/independent leaflets, 2 D2Ds from this week and 3 D2Ds from last week. It’s ridiculous.

Most Offices just roll them over... add the following weeks and deliver them when they've got mail.

Rinse and Repeat .... Eventually they all get delivered.

Thats a lot of mail, I feel your pain, and Royal Mail reckon there's NO MAIL nowadays (admittedely it's Election Bumf). You'd have thought that Royal Mail would have given everyone a break from Households over the Election. £££££?

I returned to work to find several weeks of Election Flyers in those Rarely Visited Addresses (that the Relief Cover obviously couldn't be arsed to clear).

Then the DOM shouts out that it's the last day for certain Candidates to be delivered

I thought perhaps you should have mentioned that to the lazy bastards that couldn't be bothered to deliver them last week!

It's not like you can cut off because of the paid election material, so why wouldn't they also burden you with D2D (which you aren't getting paid for)?

The postal vote shambles isn't actually our fault, for once. Election stuff is going through as a priority (in our office at least)

It's local authorities that have been overwhelmed.

Cant cut off? I only delivered 2 loops yesterday due to a backlog of 4 days mail and having to do tracked etc

We had "election champions" they were taken off their duty to organise all this crap. But now they have to do their duty and this crap as well in the same time.

I know, I know. But unlike coaches, they got no additional payment and made sure everything was correctly allocated. It's effing chaos now.

I don’t know which was worse - prepping the damn stuff into the frame, or standing on the doorstep going through every leaflet and trying to figure out which was for that address. Someone had also prepped the addressed labour leaflets the wrong way round just for an extra challenge.

As for D2Ds, we are all past caring. If I’m told to deliver last weeks then I do as told, I guess it’s a reasonable request and besides I’m out of here soon.

Can't remember the last Time Sensitive Household we had .... don't have a lot of Sales, or Special Offers, in our area .... OR DOMINOs

I'm sure we'd be nagged if they were Time Sensitive.
