Three days for addressed material. Seven for unaddressed. From the day it lands at your frame.
Addressed stuff if it's 2C or DSA Economy could have been sat in the MC for up to 5 days, being held by the DTS system

This DTS system: is it delaying the mail? So when it arrives at a DO it has already been in the system for several days, and so if it is not delivered the day it arrives in a DO it’s days or a week late, rather than a couple?

Walked in this morning to 2 different labour ones, 2 different Tory (addressed and blank,) Greens, Reform and some mental independent. Then our manager (RDC manager so not in the section often) tried telling us that they were all over 3 days old and needed to be done immediately.

Our book room counts and dates them when they come in, they'd all got yesterday's date on as they arrived at about 11am. Manager hated that we could prove her wrong but told us to do them anyway

The DTS system only seems to work if the DO's are bang up to date as the mail should be delivered the day it arrives, if it's not then it becomes delayed mail

So it’s not counted as delayed mail if it is sitting in a mail centre?

Green Party & Reform Party.

When we returned to the office this afternoon, we found election material from the Green's and Reform on our desks.

With 8 days to go, how are we supposed to get all this stuff delivered ?

It's arrived far too late and I have complained, but deaf ears.

Is this the same for all offices i wonder, or just ours ?
Heard there’s more incoming

:chuckle

For the second election in a row, the election stuff has arrived on my week off.

Bear in mind that I'm alone to cover 2 walks and I can't drive because I've temporarily lost my licence on medical grounds, and manager cannot/will not cover my paired duty.

The poll cards first. On my first day back, one of the other OPGs (one of them "act like the job you want and you'll get it" types) is screaming in my face that the poll cards, which arrived while I was off, should have been delivered by now, and is now attempting to lecture me about why I now have to deliver 2500 poll cards ASAP as well as god knows how much other forgotten mail and u tracked etc on a htc.

Then the party political started coming in 😂

Only just caught up today

7 lots plus a never ending cycle of junk mail which for obvious reasons I was never able to throw in. I don't owe anyone else any explanation and manager knew about it. But low and behold, when my colleague came back in, I was suddenly being belittled and screamed at by both of them for not doing my job properly and taking too long to do it.

It's a never ending cycle. When you're on annual leave, none of the junk gets touched, then when you're back, you get told off that it hasn't gone.

Could do without the workplace sycophants as well tbh.

It's making me not want to go back tomorrow.

We have had Independents, Conservatives x2, Labour, Reform and the Greens. It has been a nice little earner with the polling cards on top. No Lib Dems yet though.

Our local Labour MP lives on my walk, he asked my why he'd not seen his leaflets yet, I told him because they are still bungled up on the floor :left:

That’s hideous. Who needs that?!

D2Ds which arrived while you were on leave are your cover’s responsibility, if no cover then they are the manager’s responsibility. If the manager failed to shift them they can ask you to deliver them but it is an ‘unreasonable request’ and you can’t comply as political literature is your priority as the deadline is looming.

Shouting at you, belittling, mounting a several against one onslaught, are all bullying and harassment behaviours and you are perfectly within your rights to put in grievances against every single one of them.

You can’t perform miracles and no one should be expecting you to.
