The average 'going' rate in our office is 20 tracked parcels an hour. That's what they will pay someone for taking any additional Tracked items as overtime on a walk. Obviously, it's different if you are delivering items that cover a whole postcode area.
A few years back there was a period of maybe 2 months where this was common, where posties were getting extra payment for taking an additional rounds parcels, even if they could finish everything within their contracted hours...
Is this normal and common throughout the country on a day to day basis? If you take additional parcels like this you SHOULD get paid extra?
I remember that the time this happened in our office on an almost daily basis was during a light period where you could easily get the additional rounds Tracked parcels done within your contracted hours and get paid extra.
Did just under 15 miles walking today on a town round, but it was only an average day really, taking poll cards where we were going. I don’t tend to worry to much about total number of calls as it is rare that we get anything over a 50% call rate on any given day. A lot less on Monday and Tuesday.

Do you have a rough time that would have taken today please? As in from the first delivery point to the last?

Yes. Why on earth would I tell you where I take my break? It is slightly disturbing that you are still waiting for an answer frankly.
I thought SISO had put an end to ghost OT, as the system will flag up you're claiming OT but still signing out on time?
Looks like that was just a false hope, along with the PDA actuals showing which duties were either too big or small. Perhaps one day something will change.
