So, what would this mean?
We might all get a few hundred quid worth of shares of a company whose share price has gone sideways at best for the past 11 years ?

Posties were given a stake in RM. Most offloaded at the first opportunity.

He’ll consider it until the ink has dried on the sale contract.

Ahh the usual give workers shares in the company gambit.
Pitiful amount with so many strings attached to fob off the workers and to look good as new owners.
We have had/heard this s**t so may times before.
The man is in full PR mode right now.

Yes that's probably about right.
When the pay deal was being "negotiated" last year it was 6%.
I wouldn't hold your breath, DK is not going to be giving away very much to staff, even if it is a goodwill gimmick

Does that 5.5% include the shares that some staff are buying or is it exclusively from the original share award?

Re: Daniel Kretinsky ‘ready to consider’ giving workers a stake in Royal Mail
Whilst the headline states that DK is 'ready to consider' giving workers a stake in Royal Mail, reading the article actually says that it seems to contradict Kretinsky's views last month when he told the Sunday Times that giving staff a stake in the business could prove difficult? Does he really want to give us a few crumbs (shares) or would he prefer to keep them ALL to himself?
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Given a stake in a failing business? Wonderful.
