Re: Later starts and breaks
We now take 20 minutes at the end of our shift. Manager suggested it and we had a vote.

That’s not a break. What a moron? Hope you laughed in their face?

Re: Later starts and breaks
So basically start 20 mins later than the new later start times/new summer hours starting tomorrow? At this rate it won't be long before all FT posties are soon working 9 til 5.scoobydo79 wrote: ↑16 Jun 2024, 14:38Any one else had the boss suggested you take 20 minutes of your break as soon as you go in ?.

Re: Later starts and breaks
Next week when summer times start we've got three days under 7hrs attendance so only 30 mins break allowance, mind you it's pretty unlikely to be able to complete within time on those days especially with all the election shite for the next two weeks.

Re: Later starts and breaks
Think that's the general idea but as it's unpopular with most posties who prefer to finish early they are trying to confound us all by doing it in stages interspersed with seasonal variations whenever the mood fits.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Re: Later starts and breaks
They can’t make you take your break as soon as you get in. You can agree to take it then if you want to but you most likely wouldn’t want that.

Re: Later starts and breaks
They should be just however much later you start by. Say you're now starting half an hour later, then the breaks should be half an hour later than what they were.

That would be the most logical thing wouldn’t it?SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑16 Jun 2024, 20:54They should be just however much later you start by. Say you're now starting half an hour later, then the breaks should be half an hour later than what they were.
