Are people getting paid going over their time, as wel las the election supplement? Our office told us no overtime being paid seeing as getting election payment anyway. New manager came in today saying other offices get paid overtime aswell

Officially no. But Gaffer ghosting ot on packets on his favourite duties.

Have the postal vote forms gone out yet? Not had any pass through the CSS machines yet

We never saw the poll cards on the CSS machines so I'm guessing they went out to DOs as direct boxes/trays. There was a bulk posting for one area around the right time, so it's possible that the local council there sent them out in envelopes.

they came in envelopes this year, would have saved so much time and money if they had held them back in the MC and put them thru the sorting machines, however as per usual they just lump the extra workload at the worst possible time with network window changes and seasonal variations on delivery rather than using the machines they have to take and do the extra workload.

If the sole cause of your overtime is election material you are being paid for separately then you can't claim overtime as well.
If your overtime is partly due to regular mail volumes then you can.

Where I live the elections before the local ones in May, the poll cards came as enevelopes. For the ones back in may and the General Election, they came as cards.

Crazy thing is the Electoral Register letters are due right after the General Election.

I can see people getting screwed over with this. There will be some posties who might have booked overtime on certain days for delivering 2 days worth of mail whilst also claiming for the election material. Easiest way is not to claim any docket at all.
