I had one a few days ago that I’ve ignored, as I don’t care to be contacted by work outside of work hours
Here’s an example of the latest one
You have items in your SuccessFactors learning plan that are due for completion and which now require your attention - Please note this relates to the following courses:
xxxx, xxxxx - nnnnn - (Understanding and preventing sexual harassment - mobile only
) that is due on 28/06/2024 23:59 Europe/London
A copy of this email has also been sent to your line manager for information.
The last line sounds like a threat of there being consequences for ignoring the email.
I get one every month telling me my "Safety on Delivery " training is out of date (by about 8 years now)
If my managers are also getting a copy of the email they aren't acting on it.
I tried to get them stopped without success.
I now look forward to being out of date by 10 years.
If I was to have an accident on delivery I could surely argue that I haven't been given the relevant training.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
It isn’t mandatory to have my private email account spammed when outside work. If I had a RM email account, then fair enough. Even then I would be pissed off if I was contacted outside working hours.

So don't give work your private email address.
I kind of need to see my payslip every week so have no choice.

Did you have to use your private email address?
Are there any t's and c's that suggest they've done something you didn't sign up to?

You need an account you can access to verify the app, so yes. As to T&Cs - there should be an option to opt out of correspondence. There isn’t. If I am expected to be contactable by email outside office hours, I want a works mobile or laptop, which can be turned off when I finish working.
Either way I will see what HR say as I’ve lodged a complaint. If nothing comes of it I will just have to report it as spam and block the sender I guess.
