If I'm not throwing mail in and every day I'm moved on to a different walk, how do I count the numbers of election bollocks I deliver? Seems there's no easy way of doing it.

You can't, it's another way the reserves lose out to somebody with a regular duty, you'd have thought after all these years that the money would be put into one pot at the DO and shared out equally amongst all the posties.

I have an approximate guess, it’s never been questioned. I do it daily until all the cards etc. are delivered. I don’t think you need to be exact.

x your delivery points by the (agreed locally I think) amount per address.

How the hell are we supposed to know what is 'addressed and unaddressed candidate mail' - PAID
and what is 'additional postings, including D2D items, issued locally by Parliamentary Candidates or political parties, which are over and above this election material' - UNPAID !
This is a recipe for getting shafted by management

I think people should be paid for the actual prepping part of polling cards etc. That is where the real work is done, as you are usually given 3 days to deliver them anyway, so you just take them to houses where you have other items.
