Have any of your MC 's / D.O's begun dismantiling and shipping the red sleeves out up to Atherstone yet?

At ours they seem to be in denial of the official order, and do not want to tell the workforce.

Is Atherstone where red sleeves go to die?

Yes, a massacre of all 250,000 of them.

We're still using them as there aren't enough corex ones useable for small packets. Don't think it'll be too long before we start to see loads of cardboard sleeves in the system again

Our MC got a trailer load of collapsed red sleeves on 49 Yorks last week. Mainly due to the fact that the SD locker uses them for Specials. We haven't seen more than one or two green sleeves a night for over a year.

Are green sleeves usually for Specials?

There are special green sleeves for specials which can be zipped up and sealed

So if all canvas sleeves are replaced with the white abominations, how will you tell at a glance, which is a specials York? 🙄🙄

The bright green barcode tag affixed to the front straps.
We already recieve some specials in white correx sleeves from some of the less professional MC's around Manchester.

We only receive white corex yorks with foreign "specials" in from HWDC with a red label on the front. All Special yorks should have a green label on the front with a blue seal and a york label that says SD locker 3/4 of the way down on the York label.
We are not allowed to despatch any Special to another MC or DO in white Corex yorks unless the specials are all in bags.

Saw one of the managers earning his keep last week tossing red sleeves and RM2000 frames into a skip. I'm wondering which will come in more handy in the near future: holding onto those things or holding onto the skip?
The machine stops.

Spotted a new one last night, I'm assuming they've only just started entering circulation. A green version of the correx but with a lid for SD lockers

Yeah we have one in our MC, they are not bad, look better made than the white ones, however still not that secure, if it were me id have kept the green sleeve ones, maybe even repurpose the red ones into green ones to save waste.

New green plastic sleeves similar to the current white ones are getting made in NW Hub. Complete with a lid and provision to seal for Specials.
