New contract pay??

Post by gav_113 »

Hi there, well I’m 5 months in as a postie and still living the dream! :dance

Can anyone explain the pay rate scale for those on the new contacts?

Reason I ask is as a reserve in our office we are on £12.30,
One of the chaps has taken a full time round on and his pay has increased to £13 I think?
How is this fair as we are on the same contract, only difference is I’m 30hrs and he is 37hrs? But technically we do the same job?
TIA

You will both be on £12.54 an hour, we all had a 2% pay rise at the start of this month.

Unless you have seen evidence of this then I wouldn’t believe it. You wouldn’t have an hourly increase in pay just because you’ve moved to full time on a duty. If you have seen evidence then you need to see a manager about it.
