Ended up only taking 3/4 of the walk out as it took until 10.15 to get out, even then I ended up 1hr 50m over.
All because of fkin council tax bills, so instead of having just over a box of sequenced on a Monday we had four.
Why can’t council tax bills be spread out over the week? :arrrghhh
Doesn’t your office allow you to spread the delivery of them over a few days?

Four boxes per walk sounds about right, based on what we were boxing up on batches with council tax bills, a few got 5, maybe one or two got six boxes.

Most of them got held by the DTS system until they hit the 5 day limit and then they all got released.

I'm guessing the next major bulk posting might be electoral register, ready for the local elections

Yes we got that, but still had to prep them in, which took ages.

For the last week all 1st class parcels I’ve delivered have safeplace/neighbour crossed out. Is there a problem with the PDAs? My P739 rate is now through the roof Seems very strange as I’m at the same address with Tracked which do have safeplace/neighbour options available.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

The P739 needs redesigning because if you have a parcel that you’ll try again the next day and another parcel which won’t get another attempt, you have nowhere to note this without scribbling a message to the customer on the card to explain 🙄🙄

You just use 2 cards.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

I noticed this yesterday as well, on multiple occasions. I just made sure I left a card advising if I had left the item with a neighbour or where it was Safeplaced - though this does run the risk that you cannot prove this from the tracking data if there is a dispute over receipt.

It doesn't there's the two sections that you fill out, the top one for I'll redeliver and the one below for after the 2nd attempt.

I noticed that, it seemed to be items posted in post offices the regular business ones came up with all the usual options.

Electoral Register letters have started coming through, I suspect that the entire lot will have arrived in MCs by Friday. No idea if they'll have us switch off the DTS on Friday to make sure that they all go out to DOs

The twenty year debate has finally ended: did they scrap the second delivery or was it really the first delivery that was scrapped? Answer: both.
