Exemption Process

Locally the furthest DO from the MC is about 1hr away, which will probably mean every DO will be an hour later, probably more for the DOs nearer to the MC they'll be looking at over an hour as the lorries will get stuck in traffic.

Would it not make sense for the trucks to deliver to the further DO's first on their route and work their way back towards the main hub...mail centre etc...almost in reverse. Which most of us do on delivery anyway. That way the last DO on the end of the chain wouldn't have such a huge waiting time to the one nearest the mail centre. It might balance out the offices only changing by 15mins to the one's having the whole 90mins added to their finish times. Even it up a bit more.

Wave 1 is probably going to have to be made later by the same time as wave 2 otherwise there's the risk of the drivers running out of driving hours

I did not get exemption and my office fnishing time goes from 2.15 to arround 4. So in my case, still having childcare responsibilities, it looks like forcing me to leave. Is there anything we can do? Anything other than appeal (we all know what teh response will be)

The people needing exemptions have all got them in ours, as far as I am aware. It is going to be a logistical nightmare though as you have a dozen people all starting and ending at different times. Then their van-share partners have to agree.

I don’t want to get super specific (because of the weirdo stalkers on here), but we are moving 15 minutes. Our latest finish time will be between 3.15pm-3.30pm and our shortest day ~2.25pm.

Currently we are allowed to clock out 20mins early, so knock off 20 minutes respectively. I believe our exemptions are only in place for the later finish days. I think we are maybe 20 miles from our main sorting office and our nearest super hub is just over 80 miles away.

Not everyone. Only those needing them who applied. I think it is clear why it was acceptable in ours as it only really requires a 10 minute change for a lot of people to fetch kids etc.

If an office is finishing a lot later, then of course it is harder to negotiate a change of 90 minutes etc for offices finishing at 4.30pm

Not everyone. Only those needing them who applied. I think it is clear why it was acceptable in ours as it only really requires a 10 minute change for a lot of people to fetch kids etc.
