Tuesday the new Wednesday

Post by FirstPost »

It was like Christmas for the last three Tuesdays for parcels. I wonder why?

We were dead, late getting out and six loops on my duty today, first three completed in 90 minutes, last three a lot longer😁

Parcels were light but letters were Wednesday volume here. Traffic seems very random at the moment, even comparing rounds in the same office.

What about where walks are of a similar type, eg rural, urban, firms, etc?

Letters volume were to be expected for Tuesday. Complimented by Mondays mail for where we didn't go. You know, Standard abandonment of the USO every other day kind of stuff.

Packets for the last couple of days have been through the roof.

A neighbouring town round of a similar make up, which is on an estate right next to ours, got probably 10x less mail in the walksort than we did. Rurals were completely random too. It is odd as there was no bulk posting making it heavy either. I’ve never seen anything like it. Today was the reverse, so we had hardly any walksort and theirs was rammed.

We've noticed a real disparity between walks and even streets recently.. example- today I had Christmas level packets for one of the heavier streets on my walk, but have had hardly anything since Thursday for the whole street. A different street had nothing today but was hammered yesterday....
