Cant discriminate the drivers v non
Drivers..This app is purely targetting drivers, when apart, there is no difference between the roles that a postie does...

So it cannot be used to bash the drivers, whilst the non-drivers, as per usual, gets the easy life..oh and get paid exactly the same for far less responsibility

Non drivers have bigger loops and probably walk a few miles more they deserve more,driving safely is not bashing its common sense slow down its what they want lets give it too them

Not on my duty they don’t. Passenger lives on easy street with the loops he does. Often tempted to just take my side of the walk and leave him behind.

I don't get why some drivers on here are piling in on their passengers. It's not their fault you aren't paid more (which they should be in my view). Blame Royal Mail, blame the CWU but don't blame your own work colleague! Royal Mail put enough pressure on us as it is, we sure don't want to have a workplace where staff are at each others throats too.

Next pay deal should offer up a rise to those with a licence seeing as we are a parcel company now (unless you are unable to hold one) that way the non drivers might have an incentive to pull their fingers out and upskill.

There was 1 walker in ours who could drive but decided not to because of the extra responsibility,easier life in walker side.

We all know where this is heading.

In the near future we'll be in the office being asked to explain why our perfomance app "metrics" are below target. Then further down the line we'll lose pay, hours or even jobs if the app says we're not good enough.

With the agreed crap 2% increase in pay this year real time wages are down again ,,well done CWU you really have surpassed yourself this time soon all drivers and passengers will be on minimum wage.

This driver/non-driver discussion was getting interesting. Just imagine if Royal Mail ever managed to get rid of delivering letters on a Saturday. What would a non-driver do for that day?

If it was left to the DO management team to sort out then probably nothing, they'd give them all mon-fri attendance as it's the easiest option for the bunch of useless c***s.

With the exception of a few stuck in the past with a chip on their shoulder lazy bastards, at our place most actually work together as a team, if one finishes a loop first they'll help the other, both driver and walker empty postboxes, both driver and walker are responsible for specials, the loops aren't "set in stone" as that's my job and that's yours, a lot of oversized can also be done together as you're driving between loops.

I suppose having said that it boils down to individuals attitude, working together can make a big difference to how smoothly and efficiently you get the job done.

This is exactly how it should be and how I work with my partner.

Its a bit like people who blame everything on “immigrants” and “benefits cheats” etc rather than focusing their anger on those in power.
