Re: Royal mail losses
The group as a whole expects its adjusted operating performance at the end of March 2024 to be break-even, and this figure excludes VR costs.
Imho It's a deliberate strategy to not reveal too much profit on the balance sheet while the business is all systems go towards getting the USO reformed.

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Re: Royal mail losses
I don’t believe their figures at all because based on their own published figures, there is no justification for ploughing all resources into parcels.TheTrolleyMan wrote: ↑05 Mar 2024, 18:53Does anybody really believe anything that RM say or declare ?
So there is another set of figures somewhere.
’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’

Like most employed by RM, I really don’t care.
You lose the shop floor & only one way company is going & it’s not up!
Profits are there for shareholders & directors 100k bonuses.

Re: Royal mail losses
An awful lot of money being spent by management on propping up managerial and logistical mistakes, without fixing them. There's no responsibility or culpability. They are still despite all the evidence pointing their way, blaming what's left of the actual workforce.
