I don't understand why a young woman with two children with health issues is not on some sort of online and postal service with the NHS. Most appointments come by text messages and you get reminders too. That should have been her priority for her children - register to get messages online (email), text and also post.
As for the NHS, why will they just rely on letters for very important surgeries and appointments! They know Royal Mail is not entirely reliable - so they are failing even more than RM.
Lastly,bathe managers for Winsford, Cheshire needs to be disciplined or moved on. The same person kept having her mail delayed for more than 1 week. It is s combination of weak management and intransigent posties (I will not do another round or don't know this or that after decades of working for RM).
Surely that not the point if RM are selling a service they should deliver on it, not blame somebody for using it, or alternatively just accept they can't deliver the service and ask for support from the Government.
The Winsford residents all seem to live on a new housing development, so you can only assume it doesn't have a fixed duty holder for some reason. Probably the manager doesn't want to incur the cost of employing another postie or can't get approval to appoint one.
Maybe the BBC need to do a program about OFCOM and how they can't find evidence about stuff they're supposed to be regulating when everyone else can.
The irony is that the BBC is actually regulated by OfCom. They won't like a programme that is positively identifying their own incompetence!
The bigger picture is how the company has been losing money and Panorama needs to do a follow up on where all the money has gone because until they do the situation is only going to get worse.

Im in a DO in another part of Chesire. We have 3 unfilled duties but enough people on the reserve list who could sign up for them.
So I'm sure there is a undeclared policy of not assigning duties anymore.

Why was it pointless it raised all the main issues, if the Government, Labour party and the public generally still want to ignore what's happening it's hardly Panorama's fault. If they do I guess it shows what DW/CWU are up against.

Possibly. We clear every day but our rounds are pretty much at their limits now. Any bigger and we simply won’t. We don’t absorb any rounds either. There is no time. We do have the usual idiots starting early unpaid though which is possibly masking any issues but that will always be the case.
Unless RM returns to being a service industry things will never change. Workers will be worked harder to maximise profits at all costs. Especially if they break the rules in regards the USO and nothing is done.
