Re: BBC PANORAMA - ROYAL MAIL: WHERE'S MY POST - MONDAY 26TH FEBRUARY 8PM
I just know that this prog will be supremely irritating because they will take what RM says at face value and not dig below and look at the figures. The figures tell the story of chronic mismanagement from the top and the spaffing of profit up the wall by paying twice to deliver the same volume of parcels as there were before they introduced the idiotic DPR routes.
Where are the auditors and bean counters??

In our office it was the removal of dpr that made nearly all the walks impossible. Or maybe it was the s**t revisions, followed by dpr removal, followed by taking out a load of walks. Mixed in with losing loads of experienced staff through VR then eventually replacing them with new starters added with lack of absence management and generalized shitness. Where's your post? In the frame or in a box probably!

I am quite confident the posties will bear the brunt & blame in this documentary & no mention of unachievable workloads & walks.

Will there be a "Post Office type seismic shift" in the view of the general public, when the truth is finally uncovered tonight in this programme, or will we get all the blame as usual ?
Or will it be a bit "wishy-washy not our fault guv" defence from the powers that be.
Just wondering

I've heard a brief section of the programme on my local radio this morning and it didn't make good listening for Winsford(?) DO, with one resident in tears as her child missed an op as the letters were never delivered. I'm sensing it might well show a true reflection of the mess RM is presently in.twoloops wrote: ↑26 Feb 2024, 13:00I am quite confident the posties will bear the brunt & blame in this documentary & no mention of unachievable workloads & walks.

Who would’ve thought that customers actually depend on those pesky letters that RM bosses would like us to ignore in favour of their beloved tracked?!TopperGas wrote: ↑26 Feb 2024, 16:42I've heard a brief section of the programme on my local radio this morning and it didn't make good listening for Winsford(?) Anything less than hours upon hours of hidden camera footage of failed frames and it's just going to be he said she said.
The machine stops.

I know, it'd be great if it was hidden camera footage of posties repeatedly being told f**k the mail just do the trackeds, whilst panning round the office clearly showing undelivered mail

Any one watching? Nothing new. If we haven't already been able to compel Ofcom or parliament of what has clearly been going on for years I don't see what this programme will achieve.

The cavernous Superhub looks very empty.

Genuine question - why is there a row of people passing a cage down a line ?

What is the point of a universal service obligation if there is seemingly no mechanism to compel the service provider to actually meet their obligations?
Id also love Dave Ward to finally actually tell us what this expanded role of the postal worker actual is.
