So it isn’t any different to emptying a post office then, as I said. Many of us have done this on town rounds for years. Unless you are on a trolley round, you drive the van to the shop and empty it as you do a post office. If it adds time to your day, and you can’t complete, you follow the same procedure as you would otherwise. Not everything has to be difficult.TopperGas wrote: ↑23 Feb 2024, 19:25Easy answer, for a box you just insert a key, open the box, scan the barcode, take out a handful of letters, shut the box, I'm assuming for Parcels Collects, you'll have to lock up your trolley, enter the shop, try and find somebody he knows why you're there, wait whilst they find all the parcels, scan them all, then call you COM, as there's far too many to fit in your trolley, then explain to the shop worker why you can't take them all, then wait whilst then gets the manager, so you can explain it all again to him why you can't take all the parcel.

Why aren’t you out looking for a job instead of spending every hour, night and day, trolling a forum for a job you ‘couldn’t wait to leave’? Life is full of mysteries.CarryingMGMT wrote: ↑24 Feb 2024, 10:54Why is every single post of yours so self-righteous and smug?LouBarlow wrote: ↑24 Feb 2024, 05:31So it isn’t any different to emptying a post office then, as I said. Honest answer - I respond in kind. If I get a snide comment, it will get some back.

Why would they do that? They only post here for a reaction. When have they ever posted anything constructive about the job?manboss wrote: ↑24 Feb 2024, 17:03CarryingMGMT, just add this person to your ignore list.CarryingMGMT wrote: ↑24 Feb 2024, 10:54Why is every single post of yours so self-righteous and smug?

Re: Parce collections
Who said it was difficult? The difference with a PO is they've been doing it for years not just starting, although if Collect+ points are becoming part of the collection runs then hopefully more time will be added, not just expect the collection driver to due it as part of their present run.LouBarlow wrote: ↑24 Feb 2024, 05:31So it isn’t any different to emptying a post office then, as I said. This sounds like an expansion to current services to be honest. I already collect from a drop and go shop, and it is on a dedicated collection route.

Today we had 7 labels for 7 letters that had been posted in a postbox on our walk, all they had on the envelope was the destination postcode, we passed them onto the afternoon manager when we got back, let them deal with it
