As if we don't have enough to do Royal Mail are now asking us to collect parcels from petrol station and supermarkets, ffs we can't finish on time as it is ,imo this is all designed to break us so we leave of our own accord so they don't have to pay redundancies, absolute disgusting company.

Didn't realise it had already started, so what's the script do you just turn up at a set time like a collection duty does and find out what there is when you get there, fkin joke there could be a van full.

I don't understand why these aren't going on collection duties, the driver will probably be going past on their way to collect from post offices and businesses in the area.

How is this any different from emptying a post office which a lot of people do during their duty? Something else to moan about that is keeping you in a job I suppose.

I wouldn't worry to much. The system is in place to collect / drop off parcels for DPD /Amazon and other couriers alongside Royal Mail. So where is the average corner shop going to find all this extra space ? I see it as a huge problem for businesses sorting and storing it all, it won't be worth the bother. Another example of posties stressing out over nothing.

Why would ghe public go out to drop stuff off when they can book a collection from home,,,, some of the stuff I collect you could fit in a post box but they won't go there

Public are too lazy to get out of bed when your knocking with their parcel they ordered and know its coming!!!!!!

Easy answer, for a box you just insert a key, open the box, scan the barcode, take out a handful of letters, shut the box, I'm assuming for Parcels Collects, you'll have to lock up your trolley, enter the shop, try and find somebody he knows why you're there, wait whilst they find all the parcels, scan them all, then call you COM, as there's far too many to fit in your trolley, then explain to the shop worker why you can't take them all, then wait whilst then gets the manager, so you can explain it all again to him why you can't take all the parcel.

These collections are going on dedicated collection routes it was posted on workplace. Ccoms are getting briefed about it so not deliveries taking them on , for now!

How will we deploy this?
Collect+ pick-ups will be done via standard dedicated collections. Operational deployment, training and risk assessment plans will be communicated to Collection Customer Operations Managers in the coming days.
