How much notice do we need to give

So I’ve got a job interview and want to know how long I have to give RM notice if I get the job. I thought it was a months notice but the job requires I start in 2 weeks

Old contract 1wk, new contract 4 wks.
If your on new I would give them a wk & leave.

You can but it’s a technical breach of contract and they could sue you for the cost of temporarily replacing you , however if they were to sack you they wouldn’t give you notice so it’s your call. Give them a letter of resignation stating what your last day will be , they can hardly keep you prisoner.

You would be technically in breach of contract without working notice period so if you had money owed to you by the company you'd risk losing it.

I know of 4 staff who have been here over 3 years so on new not newest contract
All gave one week notice
They can’t force you
Beside you could just take the piss and get signed off

Regardless, as mentioned b4 make sure and screenshot all your entitlements from the app b4 u leave. Be sure exactly what you are owed b4 u leave

If you are paid weekly, you give one week's notice. If you are paid monthly, you give one month's notice.
