Leaving early

Post by frankieboy »

Any other offices where the managers allow certain people to leave early, especially saturdays, so they can attend football matches. Seems like one rule for one and not others. Is this just a local agreement?

I've seen the same 2 posties walk out of the office 5, 10, 20 minutes early plenty of times, it's a regular occurrence and have no idea why managers don't stop it from happening.....

meanwhile the managers will moan at me for talking for a minute to someone or coming back a few minutes 'early'.... yet they have let these 2 guys leave 5, 10, 20 minutes early for years.

Works the opposite way in ours, if I finish early I just cite managers favourite has already gone/ booked plenty of ghost so I'm going home.

Usually alright to get away early on a Saturday if the duty is clear unless there are tracked parcels that haven’t gone out and you are over an hour early.

Managers want the favourites back early so they can get a van to give to parcel duties.

SISO should be flagging this up.

It will all be logged.

If someone in the bookroom is doctoring clockout times on the system or manually entering false clockings that is fraud.

Higher up are bound to lean on the COM to take hours out the office on a Saturday if there are plenty finishing over an hour early.

In our office we never finish on time and managers out the door bang on half two, even earlier on Saturday a lot earlier, if on the odd occasion we get back before our time we never hear the last of it, also pressurised into taking lapsing and bulk packets even when we insist we will go over, everyone stressed and pissed off ,thanks Dave and cronies.

I honestly can't remember the last time our office was clear.
