It's noticeably worse even for full time round here now we're up to 7.45 with these temporary "summer" times, queuing at every set of lights or junction on the commute in, it's surprising what a difference even 14 mins is making.

As usual it’s a total shambles from the company and the union. Everyone by now should know their new working hours so they can make arrangements or start looking for alternative employment. Wouldn’t surprise me if they are fearing a big exodus and that’s what delaying the announcement.

Yeah I have to agree with this. While it is true that other professions have to take childcare into account, this job was sold as being family friendly to a lot of current employers who have now had this removed. Granted, they have been given notice, but securing another job with family friendly hours isn’t easy, so it has definitely shafted a lot of people.
