TONIGHT AT 7PM - CWU LIVE - NEW WEEKLY SHOW
TO ALL MEMBERS
Tonight at 7pm - in a first for any union - the CWU launches our new weekly show.
In the coming weeks we will be moving into a new studio where we will bring you the latest news and views from across the union. We will have some brilliant guests involved, but crucially – we will make sure members are at the centre of things.
We are building a new platform where you will be able to call in directly and ask live questions to our guests. This will open up the union like never before.
Our first few episodes will be used to iron out any technology issues, so please stick with us for a few weeks until we are in a place where everything is as professional as we want it to be.
We also realise a long format show isn’t for everyone. This is why every Friday we will produce shorter highlight clips and a podcast from the show.
Tonight, we have a great pilot episode.
General Secretary Dave Ward on the Post Office scandal
Deputy General Secretary (Postal) Martin Walsh with an update for Royal Mail Group members
Deputy General Secretary elect (T&FS) Karen Rose on her plans for the new role
And more!
Please tune in at 7pm (or at your leisure) via https://youtu.be/qnFtlfi4aIA
Thank you for your support and see you all later.
Dave Ward
General Secretary
Chris Webb
Head of Communications

Cynically, I feel the spin machine is being fired up. Network Review in 3... 2...
The machine stops.

I'll tell you what's a first for any union. Colluding with corrupt bosses and stabbing members in the back

Alternatively, tonight at 7pm ..... Devon & Cornwall with Michael Portillo C5. Michael dons a brightly coloured jacket that no-one else would wear and visits Woolacombe Beach.

It crushes me that I have to fight for a Union that no longer represents it workforce. It hasn't for years and here we are.
I no longer pay subs, what is the point?

Re: TONIGHT AT 7PM - CWU LIVE - NEW WEEKLY SHOW
imagine the money the cwu could save by disbanding its comms department and instead implementing a functioning branch system where the members could meet every month to discuss, agitate and organise. that really would be a first for the cwu.

I actually thought it was quite good really.
I have holidayed along the North Devon coast a few years ago and was familiar with the places visited by Michael.
Well done, more of the same please.
