Annual Leave questions

Post by hkccm »

Hiya,

Im new in RM. I see start date and end date of my annual leave in People App. If I have some annual leave days left after the end date, will I lose them or they will be carried over?

You can carry over the maximum of 1 weeks holidays, so if your 30 hour contract you can carry over 30 hours.

I'm in my third year, somehow accrued just under 30 hours of leave that keeps getting carried over and they won't let me take it as "it's not a full week." Even when I tried to book a week with a bank holiday in it.
Genuinely the most convoluted way of doing holiday I've ever experienced

That's a local decision. There is no need to have leave booked in full weeks.

Hi
Perhaps a bit of topic....
My intention is to leave the business on May 18th. This may change depending on other factors.
Contract is 24 hours.
I have prebooked holiday May 6th to May 19th. ( Before knowing possible leave date)
Now, should I cancel this leave as I suspect I will have a deduction on my final pay slip?
I doubt I would have " earned" this leave since April 1st.
Is there a ratio of leave earned whilst working?
I hope this helps others too.
As always, this forum a wealth of information.
Thank you in advance.

Yeah, I would cancel if you don't want to be deducted any money, I think its about 3 days earned each month worked (roughly)
