And yet people still moan about how long the talks are taking to get an agreement, these are the people the union are having to try to negotiate with. They clearly don’t care about or respect their employees.
20 year service award was stopped 8 years ago how many of those people were around then?

What did you get for 20 yrs ?
I got a fantastic shiny Green card with a QR code on it , times have changed in past 20 years for sure !
Not as much as a first class stamp … just a card .. makes ye wonder how you’re gonna put in the next year ?
What did the QR code give you? More lapsing?

I got my pin and thank you letter about 2 months after my 20 years service by a manager who “just found it in a drawer in the office)
In return, I gave them my notice a few months later 😂

I got given envelope by my manager he didn't say what it was I started to panic as all we get is bad news so I opened it and was surprised I didn't know it's been 20 years so I read the Card it had the generic RM Message and that's it nothing else. How Royal Mail could have the nerve to award RM Workers 20 Yrs Service like this says alot about them. The envelope had a Special Delivery Postage which cost more than the Card I was given.

Going back quite a few years now but I received my pin badge, a card, £100 to spend on a gift from a catalogue and a day out at the races with a lovely three course meal and quite a few free drinks. There must gave been about 40 posties there getting their long service award and it was a private function area for us. We had a director for delivery at our table and he and his wife were really nice. That was back when Royal Mail valued their employees. I retired in November and have to say I'm glad I'm out of it. Good luck to all who still have to endure it and for those going through the ill health process, I hope it works out for you.

20 years service. Tin pin badge that broke when I took it out the box to show my colleagues at the time. We all laughed at how shambolic it was. I was offered a meal with all the managers which I turned down. Felt physically sick to be honest at the thought of that. 10 year service was slightly better. A pen and a paperweight . Ha ha ha
I’ve had far better perks in my new job in a year than the 20 plus I done in royal fail.

I remember my 30 year dinner out invite. It was 60 miles away and in the evening. I don't drive so it would have had to be a hotel overnight as well. So what with the rail fare and hotel it really wasn't worth it!
