I have resigned, do RM owe me holiday pay?

Post by sixfoottwo »

Quick question please.

I resigned a week ago and have just had 1 weeks annual leave this past week - used that as my notice period (1 week for me) and I screenshotted my annual leave before I lost access to it.

I have been paid my normal weekly pay on Fri and to be honest I expected a little more and I'll be chasing it up with HR.

Here is the screenshot before I had last week off, what we thinking??

What hours where you on?

Your annual leave runs up to the end of March so most people who leave at this time of year owe RM.

If you have 5 weeks of leave a year, that is one week off for every 10.4 weeks. So looking at what you had left I doubt they owe you anything.

Not a 100% accurate way to work it out but if you divide your original allocation by 12 to break it down into roughly how much leave you'd be due per month you get 16.18 then as there's approx 3 months of this years leave year left multiply that by 3 = 48.5 hours so as you've only got 39 left I think if anything you'd owe them.

As I say not 100% accurate you'd have to break it right down into hours to get the exact figure.

If you left on the 01/01/2024 and the RM leave year started on 01/04/2023 based on 37hr week and working 5 days you should be entitled to 156.3 hrs holiday you used 95.7 so 60.6 difference. So maybe they do owe you.
