Three men in hi-vis reportedly stole Watford parcels and threatened a postie five days before Christmas.

Herts Police have shared an Online Watch Link alert (OWL) after the trio were seen getting out of a white mini-van (Index FG68GMY) outside 350 Vicarage Road at around 4.45pm yesterday (December 20).

They were apparently then seen opening the back door to a Royal Mail van and moving deliveries from it to the white van.

When the postman returned to his vehicle he was threatened, the alert added.

Police asked anyone who saw anything or who has Ring Doorbell or CCTV footage to call police on 101 and quote the crime reference 41/101453/23.

Attempted burglary

Another OWL alert shared by Herts Police this morning was for an attempted burglary in Belgrave Avenue, Watford.

Between 10.50pm and 11pm, yesterday (December 20), police were called to reports of a male trying to enter a property in the road.

The force said they are looking into any other suspicious behaviour by a male at other addresses.

Anyone who witnessed the attempt or suffered anything similar is asked to call 101 quoting the crime reference 41/101550/23.
